In an update to the Google Chrome browser for Chromebooks and Macbooks, Google has removed displayed scrollbars from browser windows.
In the simulation when you may need to view the rest of a window, you may use a two-finger sliding gesture to scroll. This will allow you to scroll left and right or up and down by moving two fingers on the touchpad of your Chromebook or Macbook.
