Control Sim Options (Virtual Business)

By default, students are given the ability to restart their simulations from the beginning if they have not yet completed the simulated exercise or submitted their grade early.

Additionally, by default the students see the answer options to each of the questions listed in the same order each time the simulation is restarted.

If you would like to change one or both of these settings, please follow the instructions below:

1.  Log into your instructor account.

2.  From the "Your Courses" page, select the link for the course that you wish to configure.

3.  Select the Change Course Settings link on the Course Details page.

4.  Next, click on the Control Sim Options accordion option.

Preventing Students from Restarting their Simulation:

     To prevent students from being able to restart their simulation on their own, place a checkmark in

the box next to Do not allow students to restart their sim.

Assign Questions in Random Order:

If you would like the answer options for the simulation questions to appear in random order for your

students, place a checkmark in the box next to Each student sees answers in a different random order.

5.  Click the Submit button when you have finished making your selections to save your changes.

If you have opted to to prevent students from restarting their simulated exercise, students will no longer have the option to reset their sim under their File menu.

If you have opted to randomize the answer to the sim exercise questions, these answers will appear in random order for each student enrolled in your course.
