Granting a Due Date Extension (Case Simulations)

Modified on Tue, 26 Mar 2024 at 06:25 AM

If you have assigned due dates to assignments and the due date passes without the student completing the assignment, they will no longer be able to work on the assignment.  If you wish to allow them to complete the assignment, you will need to grant them an extension.

To grant an individual student a due date extension, please follow the instructions below:

1.  Log into your instructor account.

2.  From the "Your Courses" page, select the link for the course that the student is currently enrolled in.

3.  Click the View Gradebook button.

4.  Then, click on the student's name.

This will open the Student Operations page.

5. Next, click on the Grant a Due Date Extension for <Students Name> accordion option.

6.  Choose the assignment from the dropdown, and then change the due date to the desired extension date,

and click the Set Due Date button to save your changes.

Student will now be able to complete the lessons.

NOTE:  If you have configured your course to Auto-Assign a grade and are granting an extension for an assignment where a zero (0%) was calculated, then you must manually reset the quiz and simulations in order for the student to complete them.  Click here to learn how to reset a quiz or simulation.
