The Set Minimum Grade option allows you to set a minimum grade that the students must achieve in order for the activity to be considered complete.
If a student scores below the minimum grade, the student will be notified that they have not met the minimum grade, and the activity will be auto-reset. The student will then be required to achieve the minimum grade before being able to move on to the next activity in the assignment.
A minimum grade may be set for each quiz, reading and math, as well as the simulation itself.
Note: This option can be extremely useful in preventing students from submitting their simulations early after only answering the simulation questions. If a student answers all simulations question correctly the first time, they will obtain a grade of 80% without having to do any further work in the simulation. By setting a minimum grade for the simulation to be 81%, the student would have to make some progress in the simulation towards the goal before they could submit the simulation early.
To set minimum grades, please follow the instructions below:
1. Log into your instructor account.
2. From the "Your Courses" page, select the link for the course that you wish to configure.
3. Select the Change Course Settings link on the Course Details page.
4. Next select the Set Minimum Grade Requirement option.
5. Next select which activities you would like to assign a minimum grade to, by placing a checkmark in the box
next to the activity and entering the minimum grade necessary to proceed.
6. Once you have completed setting the minimum grades, click the Submit button to save your changes.
